The City and County of Honolulu, the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Hawai'i State Energy Office want to make transportation-related updates in Oahu. In order to do this, they need travel information from visitors. The City and County of Honolulu, the Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Hawai'i State Energy Office are partnering with ETC Institute to conduct the surveys discussed on this site. ETC Institute (ETC), a market research firm who focuses heavily on transportation-related research. ETC collects public transit, household travel survey and visitor survey data all over the country using smartphone applications, online surveys, in-person interviewers, and their own call center.
